リンカーンとケネディ伝説

今日は、米国第１６代大統領 Abraham Lincoln が暗殺されて１４０年という節目。（ついでに言うと、今日はタイタニック号が沈んだ日でもあります）
ところで、リンカーン大統領にまつわる、ある有名な“伝説”がありまして、リンカーンとケネディの両大統領には、不自然なほど一致点・共通点が多い、と。

  1. Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
  2. Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
  3. The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters.
  4. Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
  5. Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
  6. Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
  7. Both Presidents were shot in the head.
  8. Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln.
  9. Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners.
  10. Both successors were named Johnson.
  11. Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
  12. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
  13. Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
  14. Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Kennedy'. Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln'.
  15. Booth ran from the theater and was caught in a warehouse. Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theater.
  16. Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
  17. A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland. A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

種明かしをするのは無粋なのでやりませんが、明らかな事実誤認も幾つかあって、微笑ましい（？）風説ではあります。
最後のだけは、極めつけというか、「そこまで尾ひれをつけるか？」というものなので、これについては一言。「リンカーンが撃たれる一週間前、彼はメリーランド州のモンローという所にいた。ケネディーが撃たれる一週間前、彼はマリリン・モンローと一緒にいた」・・・ヒント：モンローはいつ死んだんでしたっけ？
